The Study on the Effectiveness of ¡®To be a Good Mom¡¯ Program based on Transactional Analysis on the Stress ¡¤ Depression and Self-efficacy

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the program for pregnant women about stress related pregnant, depression, and self-efficacy. ¡®To be a good mom¡¯program is based on the Transactional Analysis Theory and Transactional Analysis Parent education, focused on the analyzing pattern of communication, attitude of life, the understanding of child development, preparing to be a parent, and the relationship between kids. Fifteen pregnant woman have been completed in this study, the group was composed of 5 session. A quasi-experimental design where a non equivalent control group pretest-post design has been implemented in order to evaluate the program effectiveness in terms of the stress related pregnant, depression, and self-efficacy. As a result, in the experimental group, there was a significant decrease in stress related pregnant, depression, and an increase in self-efficacy. Based on those findings, we have to develop pregnant programs, make pre-parenting programs with spouses and self-help group is useful.
